Water Corporation Health, Safety and Environment training for contractors
Prior to undertaking work for the Water Corporation, you must complete our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) training applicable to the type of work performed and where it will occur.
This includes HSE induction training, either:
The induction provides an overview of our contractor requirements around HSE. For certain work , you may also need to complete the Water Corporation’s risk specific training:
The training applies if you are a contractor or sub-contractor, or if you work for a contractor or sub-contractor while performing work for the Water Corporation. The training does not apply if the work will be performed from your own premises, or from your employer’s own premises. If you’re not sure what training applies to you, please contact your Water Corporation representative or visit the ‘Help’ area right of this page.
All of the above training can be completed online from this website. From the courses pages, click All Courses, to access the risk specific training. (Note: the LOTO training, OSH Permits training, and Grid Mesh Basic Assessments Guidelines training cannot be accessed unless you have completed the ‘Field Based Work at the Water Corporation’ induction training and this has not expired).
When you complete any course, please print your training certificate as your record. Once you have completed the ‘Field Based Work at the Water Corporation’ induction training an induction card will be mailed to you by the 10th day of the next month. If you don’t receive your induction card, please call the Help Desk on (08) 9420 3090.
You must carry evidence of course completion (certificate or card) or you may be declined entry to the site.
Site inductions may also need to be completed, with specific detail of the risks and requirements of the specific premises.
